When I open either the computer manage screen or the device manager screen you can no longer access anything.
I tried closing the connection and opening it again and we have the same thing.
No matter what I click on has no effect as if the computer was frozen.
When I call the client to close the screen all works fine.

Also tried to run the msi installs to no avail.
Don't get an error - nothing gets installed.
Had to install it manually from zip file for the viewer and let the client just fownload the exe file and launch it

Hello Vincent,

Thank you for your post.

Do you have Host or Agent on the remote side?

No not now
I had to run the agent.exe downloaded as the install would not work.
I suspect the mouse stopped working as on the client side all was well.
What would casue that?

Hi Vincent,

If you want complete control over the remote computer including the ability to control UAC prompts and install applications, you should use Host instead of Agent. Unlike Agent, the Host works as a system service with system-wide privileges.

Hope that helps.

That makes sense - will use that in the future.
What about the installs not working?
They run but do nothing - folders are not even created.

Hi,

What about the installs not working?

This is not about Remote Utilities. You should check the Windows account that is being logged in the system. Specifically, check if it has all the necessary permissions.
