Active Directory Support
Remote Utilities Server offers seamless integration with Active Directory, allowing you to synchronize your Active Directory (AD) infrastructure and simplifying the management and organization of your remote access network.
Integrating Remote Utilities with Active Directory involves two steps: importing computers from AD into the server address book and synchronizing this address book across multiple Viewers. This process ensures your remote access network is organized and up-to-date.
1: Import from Active Directory
With Remote Utilities Server, you can communicate with an AD domain controller and import computers into the server address book on a set schedule. This automated process keeps your server address book up-to-date with the latest AD records, ensuring your remote access network is always current and organized.
2: Sync Across Multiple Viewers
The server address book, populated with AD-imported computers, can be synchronized across multiple Viewer installations using the address book synchronization feature. This ensures that all your Viewers always have the latest copy of the remote inventory.
