Support level: Free or trial
Viewer: 6.10.9.0
Host: 6.10.9.0
Fault Description: I am evaluating RU as a replacement Remote Assistance tool and upon installation - everything works as expected ... with the exception of RDP.
When selecting the RDP at the top and double clicking the connection - nothing. Also tried using the right-click context menu, same amount of nothing. Every other function works (Full Control for example lets me view and interact with the remote machine as expected).
Creating a Desktop Shortcut for RDP also yields no better results.
I have restarted both the host and the viewer.
The RDP client works perfectly fine on this machine - I use it for remote server work all day, every day.

Hello Nathan,
Thank you for your message.
Could you please clarify if you use the RDP-over-ID mode?
If this is the case, the issue might be caused by a firewall. If your Windows Firewall is enabled on the remote PC, please make sure that the public checkbox is selected for "Remote Desktop" in the exclusion list:
In addition, please check the RDP settings on the remote side, namely the security settings. They might be too restrictive to allow the client to connect.
Hope that helps.
