I have multiple devices, PC, Laptop, Surface Tablet, and I would like to use the same Address Book across all of my devices.  I know the files I want are in my "%AppData%\Remote Utilities Files" folder.  I think the most convenient way would be to have each of my devices which connect to my Personal OneDrive folder to use the same files. No more having to Export/Import Address Books.  I am aware that only One Viewer can be used to Create Host Installers and import Connections and I am fine with this.  Is what I wish to do possible?

Update, Work Around maybe
1. I have copied the "Remote Utilities Files" folder to my OneDrive\Documents\AppFiles folder.
2. I then Renamed the %AppData% folder "Remote Utilities Files" to "Remote Utilities Files.orig" Doing this causes the Viewer to create a new empty folder "Remote Utilities Files". and names it General Address Book.
3. Opened Address book Manager and ADDED and additional "EXISTING" Address book from the OneDrive folder and named it "OneDrive Address Book".
4. Repeated steps 2 and 3 on another device.
NOTE1: It is possible to have the Viewer running on multiple devices at the same time AS LONG AS NO CHANGES are made to the connections.  If you want to make changes close all except one of the Viewers and make your change.  Allow OneDrive to sync after which you should be able to open other viewers and see the changes.  I can only be at one device at a time so there shouldn't be a problem.
NOTE2: Set the "Remote Utilities Files" folder in OneDrive to "Always Keep On This Device" This will keep all the files local to the device and in sync.

This solution needs to be stress tested to identify all the issues that may arise during use.

It would still be nice to change the location of the Default "General Address Book" from the %AppData% folder to a custom location like a OneDrive or any of the other Cloud Storage solutions out there.

Hello Allan,

Thank you for your message.

Of course, it's possible to set up your address book to update automatically through a shared resource (i.e. OneDrive folder) instead of manually exporting and importing it, especially if you're the only user who works with it. Here's a related step-by-step guide on setting up the shared address book.

Hope that helps.
