Conrad et al,
Its a bit unclear as to the recommended sequence and timing for upgrading all components. Normal recommendation is to upgrade viewers and servers first, then upgrade hosts. But....
1. it it takes several days to upgrade all hosts, will the V7 viewer provide effective access to V6.10 hosts in the interim ?
2. Since your recommendation is also to do "staged" host upgrades question 1 also applies...
3. has any testing been done in regards pushing msi-host updates via Azure/End-Pointmanager(Intune)
I also don;t see any indication sin the release notes, but has there been any changes that could have positive impact on accessing active laptops with closed lids ? currently, using legacy-mode "sometimes" works, but not always....

Hello Keith,
1. You can access Host v6 from Viewer v7. But some features may not work (e.g. File Transfer was re-written from scratch and requires Host v7). Full Control and View mode should work normally.
2. Yes, we recommend updating Hosts in groups, not all of them at once. This has nothing to do with Remote Utilities per se, it can be applied to any remote access software. Programs run in an environment and there are many external factors, both computer and human. A typical example is antivirus software that decides for you which programs you must and must not install/run.
3. Unfortunately, no. We cannot test every possible configuration. But we read any feedback and try to fix bugs exposed during such use.

Did you have a chance to test v.7 and see if this issue occurs?I also don;t see any indication sin the release notes, but has there been any changes that could have positive impact on accessing active laptops with closed lids ? currently, using legacy-mode "sometimes" works, but not always....
