I'm running all sorts of scripts/tools/utilities to manage my client machines and have difficulties extracting the Internet ID of the hosts I have running.
I could simply use the inventory system integrated in the viewer but unfortunately it's not what I want, I just need the ID to be stored in a readable/accessible format on the machine (eg. %RUhostPath%/iid.cnf or REG key))
I know about the InternetId key in (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Usoris\Remote Utilities Host\Host\Parameters) but how do I convert it to something like xyz-xyz-xyz-xyz ? (what format is it ?)

Hello,
Thank you for your message.
Please try checking Viewer log files to see if they contain the Host information in the preferred format. The Viewer logs are stored locally on your Viewer machine and contains connection events. Here's how you can enable the logging feature in your Viewer.
Alternatively, Host log files contain IP addresses and Internet-ID codes as well. Host logging is enabled by default and the log files are stored on the Host machine.
Please let us know if you have more questions.
