I got a new computer with windows 11. I set it up and installed the host, First I have issues with windows defender flagging the HOST file as a virus when it is downloaded, tried to follow the support to allow it and the steps are not lining up with what I am seeing on the computer. I Installed and older version to try to get it working, and still not allowing me to connect. I have other Windows 10 that are also flagging the latest version of host as a virus when trying to download and upd ate. The ones I had se t up now keep not starting up the host when the computer is turned on.
I have tried connecting on a windows 10 machine and iphone and neight is connecting but I check the computer and the host is on and all the settings are right.
I have been using it fine for a few years, and now it just isn't working.

Hello Gary,
Thank you for your message.
We have sent several false positive reports to Microsoft and are still waiting for them to remove the detections. We are sorry that Microsoft Windows Defender is incapable of distinguishing legitimate and digitally signed software from malware.
As for connectivity issues - you may find the following troubleshooting guides useful:
https://www.remoteutilities.com/support/kb/cannot-connect-using-internet-id-connection/
https://www.remoteutilities.com/support/kb/cannot-connect-using-direct-connection/
Depending on which connection method you use.
Hope that helps.
