I am able to connect but only if I make sure that I launch the Remote Utilities program on the host pc and then minimize it.  As soon as I close it, it closes out of the system tray and I can't connect from the viewer pc.

You are using Agent right now. We made it for spontaneous remote support sessions. If you need constant access to remote PC, you should use Host. You can download it by clicking on the link below.
