Chatbox/Send Message Not Working - Server 2012

When I am in View mode and I try to send a message to the user I am viewing, the user never gets it. Also, when I open the "chat" connection to that user it just says "no active channels".

Is this issue somehow related to the other thread you posted? I.e. are you attempting to chat with a user in a terminal session?

And yet another question - are you using the beta version (6.0) or the latest stable release 5.6.0.6 ?

I am on beta 6.0 and I am attempting to chat with a user who has logged into the Windows 2012 Server using RDP. As of 2008 terminal services was renamed to Remote Desktop Services/Protocol so yes they are a terminal session user.

Dask, the chat only works for console session by design. It's not available for terminal sessions, sorry.Dask DT wrote:
