I am trying to setup a connection directly fr om multiple clients (Windows 10) to the RU Server, but connectivity is not working. The agents never try to communicate to "connect.richtechtv.com"
Wh ere do you tell the client to connect to "connect.richtechtv.com"? I haven't see the option all I see under configuration is Internet-ID, shouldn't there be "Direct Connection over Internet" Option?
Running Version: 7.1.2.0
- I installed the RU Server on a Server 2012R2 Machine (Patched to Dec 2021)
- I installed the free license trial with the "License Key Deployment"
- I setup my port forward
- DNS Entries are configured connect.richtechtv.com

I was able to manually set connect.richtechtv.com on the client host in question and I now see connections to server.
In addition the status changes from "Online" to "unknown" every 60 seconds or so.
However, I still am unable to connect to the the client machine.

I figured out the issue I had to change the configuration on the client within the console as well. I figured with the "Authentication Password" that those changes would automatically flow from the Windows Client up to the console directly.

Hello Rich,
Thank you for your message.
I'm glad to hear you've figured out the issue and it works for you now! When using the self-hosted RU Server for Internet-ID connections please make sure to specify the server's address on both sides of the connection as described here.
Please let us know if you have other questions.
