Hello,
Avast is saying the new Host version 7.1.5.0 is infected with a virus in the .exe file and won't let me open it from the website download or the Simple Update.  What's going on???  The Viewer is fine...

Virus name Win32:Malware-gen

Anyone else having this problem, figure out a work-a-round?   I just downloaded the Win version .msi of the 7.1.5.0 Host and the virus scan is not reporting a problem with that file.  FYI I guess...

Hello Dave,

Thank you for your message.

We submitted a report to Avast and they already replied to us saying that the detection was removed. Please, try updating your Avast virus definitions base.

The .msi version failed to install Avast says FileRepmalware(Tr) this time.  Just FYI
Updated to latest Avast defs and Host.exe and Host.msi still flagging as infected

OK,
Updated, rebooted, updated, rebooted...
Seems to have cleared the false positive.
Thanks
