So while we are on 7.2.2.0, seems that A) the older versions of RU are kept in program data, and B) Avast updated their definitions last night(07/28/24) and now catch an older version as a type of Malware.

Threat Description: Other:Malware-gen [Trj]
Threat Severity: Infection
Threat Shield: Antivirus
Object Name: C:\ProgramData\Remote Utilities\msi\70170_{CA01AB2D-E912-4FC0-AD52-2D610BE0D1CF}\installer.msi
Date and Time: 7/28/2024 8:55:13 PM CT

While this quarantine does not impact if running on the newer version, may start causing concerns.

I guess this more for awareness than an issue.

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

We will contact Avast a/v team and let them know about this, so they can remove the detection. In the meantime, please feel free to submit a false positive report to Avast as well, since this can help to speed up the process. Here’s a guide on how to submit a false positive report.

Hope that helps.
