With the newest Release (Version 7.6.2.0) every time the Agent starts

With the new version, a disclaimer is displayed every time you start the agent. How can this be prevented? Unfortunately I couldn't find a setting for this in the MSI configurator. How to suppress Disclaimer on Agent - 21 Nov 2024 05:10:59

Hello Rolf,

Thank you for your message.

This notification window was added as a security measure to notify the user that an Agent is running on their computer. The only way it can be disabled is by turning off the Disable Internet-ID and callback connections feature located in the Agent Settings -> Other Settings which restricts Agent/Host to accepting direct connection only.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Hello,

Thank you for the answer.

We use a self-hosted id server.
That's why it would make sense if we could hide the notice in this situation. Unfortunately, we do not have access to the texts/links displayed. The link to RemoteUtilities EULA or Privacy Policy is misleading.

Hello Rolf,

Thank you for your patience.

I’d like to clarify a few things and apologize for any confusion caused by my earlier reply. Unfortunately, even when using a self-hosted RU Server, it would not prevent scammers from illegitimately accessing Agent. For this reason, the disclaimer window remains a necessary security measure, regardless of the Server configuration.

Additionally, the disclaimer is only displayed the very first time the Agent runs on a computer. Once it has been acknowledged, it will not appear again during subsequent uses.

This measure is consistent with practices across all major remote control software platforms. Without such a warning window, there’s a significantly higher likelihood of antivirus software flagging and removing the Agent as a potential threat.
I hope this explanation provides more clarity.

Thank you for understanding, and please let us know if there’s anything else we can assist you with.
