Whenever I set up a new computer and install RU, I have to manually add the authentication. I never had to do this before. I use Windows Authentication. It always added the users automatically. How do I change this? Thank you.

Correction, all of my hosts are set to auto for authentication.

Hello Patrick,

Thank you for your message.

Do you mean Host installation, correct? If so, you should build your custom Host installer first using our MSI Configurator where you can configure authentication method and add users (we recommend that you add/use groups rather than individual users).

Or maybe you meant something different. Please, let us know.

Yes, host installation always set up the authentication automatically. I always run the remote installation. Not sure why that stopped working. Do I need to create another installer?

Do you have a resolution for this? I would like the authentication on the host to be set automatically when I do a remote install.

Hello Patrick,

Thank you for your message.

To install the Host with pre-defined settings and an authentication method, you’ll need to use a custom installation package. Are you currently using one? If not, it’s necessary to create and use a custom installer for this setup.
You can generate a new installer using the MSI Configuration Tool via Viewer of the latest version (7.6.2.0). Here’s a guide to help you through the process.

Hope that helps.
