Hello
I am running Remote Utilities server 6.3.0.4 on a Windows 7 machine

When that machine runs Windows Media Center in full screen mode, I cannot see the screen from the client (running on a Windows 8.1 machine).

I have tried enabling and disabling most of the properties in the Remote Screen section of the Properties windows, but I cannot seem to sort this out.

If Windows Media Center runs in a window, on the remote machine, I can see it fine.

Any idea?

Thanks

Lorenz

Hello Lorenzo,

Thank you for your message.

Have you tried enabling "Capture alpha-blending windows" in Properties->Additional properties?

Hello Conrad,

Thanks for your answer.

Yes, I have. Nothing changes.

I see either a black screen or the underlying desktop of the remote, based on whether Disable Aero is ticked or not.

Hello Lorenzo,

Thank you for your message.

Unfortunately, when Windows Media Center is full screen, there is no way to show its contents remotely due to some technology limitations. This is a known issue.

Don't hesitate to ask me if you have other questions.
