Hello Daniel,

Thank you for your message.

Could you please let us know what specific version of Linux do you use, so we could test this out as well and see if we can reproduce the issue?

Looking forward to your reply.

I am using Pop!_OS 20.10 (64-bit) which is based on Ubuntu.  System is an 4.2 GHz i5-1135G7, 24GB Ram, NMVe v4 SSD (Samsung Pro 980 @ 500GB)  This system is WAY over powered for just running Linux, but you have to enjoy life once right? System is of course from System 76.

Hello Daniel,

Thank you for the clarification.

We will test running Viewer for Linux on Pop! OS in our environment to see if we can reproduce the issue.

I'll keep you updated on this.

Just wanted to say - started testing this today. So far so good.

When this gets a little more mature - I'll 100% be buying it.

I use a mac but have numerous windows machines, a few OSX, that I need to manage, and having OSX support is a requirement for me.

The viewer only crashed on me once, but I'm working to get this running with my own relay server for my windows boxes to give it a good test drive.

Hopefully, since it's been almost 6 months, another big update is coming.

Either way - I've had good luck so far.   The viewer on the mac doesn't support the server yet, but that's ok.

Hello Michael,

Thank you for your feedback.

Yes, we definitely plan to release a stable version of Viewer for Mac/Linux with more features as well as Host/Agent for Mac/Linux in the near future. Unfortunately we cannot provide any specific ETA on these releases yet, but we'll do our best to make them available as soon as we can.

Please let us know if you have more questions.

Hello Yann,

Sorry for the late reply and thank you for your patience.

We've tested Viewer for Mac with the latest MacOS 11.3.1 and couldn't reproduce the issue - Viewer runs as expected without any crashes.

Please let us know if the issue still persists.

Hi Remote utilities.

Just installed latest Linux viewer 1.0.8.q beta 8 onto Xubuntu 20.04LTS.

I had to install the following packages in order for remote utilities to start
libxcb*
libxkbcommon*

Found this via running from terminal
/usr/bin/r-viewer

Hopfully prerequisities can be rectified in future package builds.

Hello Rhyss,

Thank you for your input.

I've forwarded this information to our development department for a review to see if this can be fixed in our future updates for Viewer for Linux.

Please feel free to post another message if you have more questions.
