mouse button order

Is there a  way to swap the mouse button order in the remote utilities interface?

If I connect to a PC where the user has set up their mouse as a left-handed mouse then the left and right mouse buttons are reversed and it's very difficult to control the remote PC

I know I can change it on the remote PC but then I have to remember to change it back, so it's a bit inconvenient.

I'm a convert from LogMeIn (I way prefer the Remote Utilities interface) and in LogMeIn I had no problems with the mouse button order.

Thanks

Thank you for your message. No, currently there's no such feature. But I will add it to our wish list. I'm also moving the topic to the "Feature suggestions" forum.

We have been looking for an alternative to  [censored] (licensed version) that handles direct connections efficiently and although remoteutilities seems to do just that, sadly the mouse issues is a deal breaker as we have some left handed techs and it is pretty much unusable without the program recognizing the mouse setup properly. [censored] does it, heck even pcAnywhere did it so I am not sure why it's missing from remoteutilies.

We tested connecting a pc with the buttons reversed to a pc with the buttons reversed and it still did not recognize the proper mouse settings, so it appears to not even be an option to switch the host pc settings to get it to work.

Now having said all that, I hope that we are missing something and that there is a setting or something that we are missing. :)

Thanks.

Hi Bob,

Thank you for your post.

I do apologize for the lack of this feature so far. Most likely we will include this feature in the next update, the one that is going to come after the 6.5.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

I see that version 6.5 has been released but I didn't see reversed mouse button support listed. Am I correct that this feature has not been added as of yet? Thanks.

Hello Bob,

I'm sorry, but not in this release. However, this feature has every chance to make its way into the next 6.6 update.

I am hoping that is the case because I really need a "direct" connect alternative, thanks. :)

I also need the left mouse button. There must be quite a few lefty's out there. Please fix this. Going from left hand mouse to left hand mouse still switches to right hand. I just installed this program and it seems great except for the mouse and you still need a little work adjusting the screen sizing. Thank you

Hello Eric,

We will include this feature in 6.9.0.1 beta 2 which is due in a couple of weeks.
