It would be nice if there was a way to have a linux version so people could install it on NAS (Qnap, Synology) or just plain linux box.

Hello,

Thank you! We received this suggestion previously. It's on our wishlist.

Sorry, but no. There are a lot of priories in front of us before we consider working on the Linux version. I'm sorry for that.

I also agree a Linux server would be nice since I'm pretty much a linux only person as much as I can be. Other than the lack of Linux server and Linux host I love RU and it's worth every penny as long as you're working on Windows only devices.

Yes, Linux host and viewer is requested many times int he past lot of years. No actions seen only promises.

Has anyone tried running the dedicated server on a WIndows VM machine on Linux?

Looks like the 2.7.6.0 server worked on Ubuntu with Wine 3.0.5 according to this report https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=37862
I'd going to do some testing with Linux when I have time. Anyone have a working configuration with Host, Server or Viewer?
