Android/Mouse Cursor

I do not own an Android tablet so I cannot try this for myself. I have the iPad app remoting into a Windows machine. With iOS, you use your finger to move the mouse cursor around and then try to click. Does the Android version operate in a similar way? I was hoping to simply use my finger to select or click on the screen as opposed to trying to drag the mouse cursor around.
