network discovery form viewer to host

... connect to one RU host and then be able to see all the available network devices to it, say for instance printers. I want Windows Explorer on the viewer to be able to see devices that are available to the host. ( [censored] does this by opening a VPN connection)

can I send a print job from viewer to host?

Author: James T. I guess what I might be asking is can I create a VPN between viewer and host, then I can just install the printer driver and I should be good to go.

Full iOS viewer update?

... garbage for anyone using it professionally. I run an RU server and all I want is to be able to open it up, log in to my server, and see my clients as pulled down from the server address book. Just like how the other viewers work. It’s so bad I VPN to a machine back in the office running the viewer instead of the native app. Every single time this is brought up it’s “being worked on” with “no ETA”. For years. I’d have thought v7 would have updated the viewer but still nothing....

file transfer "sort by create date" missing

Author: Dorcom. Thanks! Hopefully soon and together with integrated VPN direct drive access. Have a good week. Rob

Is version 7 supporting

Author: john Randal. That would be very helpful, then I know we can consider a full change of the service for our users other than using our cumbersome ssl vpn firewall service which is very slow and costly at times.

Enviroment: RUT Self-hosted server, upgraded to 3.0.(public+private IP) (172.16.6.x, 67.x.x.x) public RUT Viewer, on my machine (private ip, 192.168.69.x with a VPN to the RUT server on a different subnet) RUT Agents upgraded on client machines. decent free tool but can't get it to work with domain

... version to try it out ... it looks like I can install remoteutility software with a paid higher tier'ed version... but alas... I may have to just can this and keep searching. For remoting into machines now, I just took a laptop home with me, use the VPN, then MSTSC into the desired machine... but that is very archaic and having to log other users' off is a pain.. especially when I need them to test out new software and such. And one last thing, the company is on a ZBB (zero base budget)... ...

can I use self-hosted server without a license?

... and Host installations are all beta2 version. Server is installed on an AWS VM, which appears to work. While I work on making Remote Utilities work properly, the best alternative I've found and am using with remarkable success, is L0gmein Hamachi VPN (not installed on same machine as Viewer) to machines on a trusted remote LAN, and simply connecting to them via RDP. No tools, like screen recording and session notes, but it's super fast, spans multiple monitors, handles remote printing without ...
