Hi,
Do i need to register for a license when using self-hosted server - Remote Utilities Server?
I have been running the Remote Utilities Server and all 15 client PCs are configured to use the Remote Utilities Server, this has been working brilliantly but today when i open the viewer on my pc to connect to any of the client PCS i get the following pop up box.

Register Remote Host
to obtain your license key, please visit our web site www,remoteutilities.com
sel ect the license key fr om the license key storage
enter license key
unregister.

I have checked and can confirm all client PCs are configured to connect through my own self-hosted server - Remote Utilities Server in internet-ID Server configuration

all client PC installations were done using the same executable built using the MSI Configuration which points to my own self-hosted server

add your own SMTP server when creating the custom install .exe or msi

i think it would be a good feature to have the ability to enter in your own smtp server details,
when creating the custom install .exe or msi,
so when installing on the host from the custom .exe or msi it will send the email with the host details through which ever smtp server you have chosen, which then sends the email to the admin email address specified when building the .exe or msi  :)

for example
SMTP: mail.yourdomain.com
username: username
password: password
and maybe a test button to test

follow on from my last thread,

I've just finished installing and testing the Remote Utilities Server on a server 2012R2,
the viewer on my PC and the host on the hosts

after 2 hours of testing it, i'm impressed,
i have a mixture of Server 2012 R2, Server 2008, Win7 and even some old XP PCs,
there were no issues installing and configuring the Remote Utilities Server or the hosts,
i had 12 remote sessions all opened at the same time,
this works and it works very well  :D

Hello Martin,

Thanks for the post. Have you tried single-click on the icon in the system tray, instead of double-click?

thank you for the response Conrad,
that worked haha,
i tried everything except that,
it opens no problem from the icon in the system tray,
thank you  :D
