Makes sense. I really haven't tried calling the traditional way. Any notes on when the changes will be made?

Starting version 5.4 RDP works via Interent ID. Here's the related blog post.

Has this app been added yet, and is there an iPhone app?

Our plans slightly shifted according to a higher priority item which is Mac support. However, soon after we release a Mac version we'll have mobile support our next priority.

Windows 7 remote host module screen problem

I have noticed that the problem with the remote screen occurs when I try to use the RUT protect (passwd) and shared secret simultaneously. Also I forgot to say that I connect to the remote client with internet-id through gms server in LAN with the same subnet. But when I use just the RUT security on the remote client -there is no problem.

Whether Full Control/View mode shows the remote desktop or not has nothing to do with a specific connection type (be it via a gms server or otherwise).

Here's what you can try to do. Erase this registry key on the remote PC:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Remote Utilities
and then re-configure the Host settings (pls, don't touch those you are not sure of) and re-create a connection in the Viewer. Then try to connect.

If I purchase an Enterprise Licence Do I get Quick Connect ?

Now you don't need a bundled purchase. Simply select which pricing model is better in your situation (here's the calculator https://www.remoteutilities.com/buy/). The functionality of the product is the same in both models, only the charging method is different.

Hello,

Thanks for your question and sorry for being a bit with an answer. Did you try to reboot the remote PC?

Let us know how it goes. Thanks.

Thanks. Is there also a trial version for this?

Yes. We have only one trial version. It's downloadable from here.

You can then either:

- Apply a Free License code, in which case some features get disabled but you will be eligible to use the software forever for personal use

- Buy and apply a commercial key. You will have a fully functional program that you can use for business purposes.

- Continue using the trial until a 30 day trial period is over. At the end of this period the program will ask you for a valid license key (either Free or Commercial).

Hope that helps.

Thanks. But what if it is not under the same domain but on the same subnet or local LAN, would this still be possible?

Yes. In this case you must know the administrator password on the remote machine, and the password must not be empty.

Also, if it's an XP remote machine, you should disable 'Simple file sharing' feature. If it's a Win 7 remote machine, the UAC (User Access Control) for network connections must be disabled.
