Hello Pauline,

Thank you for your helpful assistance and useful information and links.

The affected Win10 host computer has MS Defender in use.
I made 'simple update' to update host 7.0.0.3 and lost connection afterwards.
Had to install previous host on-site.
Follow your suggestions next time I'll be there.

Thank You,
Werner

After updating host 7.0.0.3 to 7.1.2.0 physically at a single Windows 10 PC, the host icon in the  icon tray disappears after about one minute. However service state is started.

As soon as host 7.0.0.3 is reinstalled  I don't have this behaviour and connection from viewer 7.1.2.0 works.
Any idea?

Hello Conrad,

Yesterday I reported file "host7.1.2.0.msi" False Positive as a paying customer to Bitdefender again.

Currently only host 6.10.10.0 can be installed on our Bitdefender protected computers.
Bitdefender immediately kill's installations of host 7.1.1.0 and host 7.1.2.0

Thank You,
Werner

Hello,

I like to install Remote Utilities Host 7.1.2.0 on Bitdefender Total Security protected computer(s) too.
Setting Remote Utilities program folder (x86) and other folders to Bitdefender exceptions doesn't help.
Today I reported file 'host7.1.2.0.exe' and 'host7.1.2.0.msi' as False Positiv to Bitdefender.
Let's see if we can successfully install Remote Utilities host in 72 hours as promised by Bitdefender.

Thank You,
Werner

Impossible to install host later than 7.0.0.3

Hi Conrad,

Today I was able to successfully update from Host 7.0.0.3 to Remote Utilities Host 7.1.2.0 at the Host computer itself using file 'host7.1.2.0.exe' instead of file 'host7.1.2.0.msi'.
Everything works perfect now and you can forget about the issue.
By the way I used  [censored] before, but the [censored] Business license is to expensive to manage one single host machine.
I'm happy with Remote Utilities software and community.

Best Regards,
Werner

Hello Conrad,

Thank you for your answer.
Yes, I'm unable to update the remote Host (7.0.0.3) using the 'Simple update' option and manually by installing
Host 7.1.2.0 on the Host machine (Microsoft Windows Server Standard 2012 R2)
As soon as I manually install Host 7.0.0.3 again, everything works.
I'll check Remote Utilities service tomorrow after manually installing Host version 7.1.2.0 again.
Don't think too much about it. I can life with Viewer 7.1.2.0 and Host 7.0.0.3
(I need to transfer some files from the host to the viewer every day).

Thank You,
Werner

Hello Conrad,

Thank you very much for your reply.
I'm sorry, but where can I find my account login page?

In Viewer 7.1.2.0 I was able to successfully register my Remote Utilities Starter license key.
I was also able to setup a own RU-Server, but official Remote Utilities ID-Servers are better.

Best Regards,
Werner

Sorry,
The name is "MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta.diagcab"
This is really a very good tool from Microsoft. (Cabinet file of problem handling).
Double klick the little cabinet file and you will no longer need to search for the missing msi file.
