I Cant stand system tray icons. I either disable the software from starting or disable the icon if possible... it seems every piece of software thinks it "deserves" a spot in my system tray. otherwise I end up with a system tray that runs across 1/2 my taskbar... why not allow a user to disable the icon and instead popup a mandatory informational balloon tip whenever a connection is made? this way a user is aware of the software but it doesn't take up system tray real estate. I'm sure there's a better way... its also a sloppy implementation when you leave an option visible but greyed out
for the most part system tray icons are useless and do nothing but take up space.
just my 2 cents.

regarding the last update 6.3.0.4
the change log states
Fixed: Hiding Host’s tray icon is no longer possible
please explain to me what needed to be "fixed".... you basically disabled the option.
the hide host icon option is checked and greyed out? this is not a fix its a regression. what's the point of disabling this option?
why do you continue to shoot yourselves in the foot?
one step forward 10 steps back...

yes it did seem to be resolved but then you came out with 2 updates after that post. and it seems to not work anymore...
you can send me the link as well if you want. if I have time I may install and test it but I cannot guarantee it. I am also leaving on vacation next week 5/26 and will be gone for 10 days so I'm not sure how helpful I can be.
thanks

the issue regarding logging in after waking from LAN still exists, as does the CAD issue.
at this time its no longer installed on my systems so I cannot provide additional info (I have already provided everything you requested via forum post or support tickets)
I no longer use RUT due to these problems. if I ever see a specific fix in your release notes that address these 2 issues, then I may test it again.
but until that time I will stick to my current solution for Remote access. I need something that works.

I can get to the on screen keyboard fine but it does not allow CAD from the OSK, at least not on my PC's... domain joined win7 x64 using NT authentication or RUT security, doesn't matter. it just doesn't work.
yes they seem responsive at first and willing to help resolve the issues but none of my issues have ever been addressed or resolved... issues I've posted and created tickets for dating back to early 2014.
It used to be great software, this 6.x is unusable, I keep coming back hoping they got their act together only to be disappointed time and time again... if I didn't have [censored] installed I would be screwed.
thanks for your reply.

How do you get the on screen keyboard to accept the CAD command? it does not work for me... I also tried the last 2 RUT updates but they don't work either.. I wouldn't get your hopes up on them fixing this issue, I don't think they care... every issue I have run into they say they will look into it but nothing ever comes of it, no fix, no communication, no nothing. I post info, logs, screenshots then nothing. They seem to forget the issue exists or ignore it. I don't think they really know what's going on and their logging is pretty abysmal. RUT used to be good but its gone down the tubes, too many bugs... just for the hell of it I installed the 5.6 host on my domain joined pcs and that seems to work, so I believe the issue resides with the new 6.x host. I am controlling the 5.6 host with the latest viewer (6.3.0.2)
good luck maybe they will take these issues more seriously or hire someone that knows what they are doing. but until then I need to rely on [censored] .

also just an fyi. it seems to stop working after the first time ctrl alt del is sent. for example. if I try to login and alt-ctrl del do not work I can either reboot the pc or restart the service. It will then accept the ctrl alt del sequence. but it will stop working. after a login if I initiate a ctrl alt del it will not bring up the options screen to lock, switch user logoff, etc. it seems to only work immediately after a service restart or rebooting but it will stop working shortly thereafter.
thank you

as per my email the mouse does seem to work, I can select switch user but it still doesn't help because the pc is locked and I cannot login as me if its locked. I need to send ctrl alt del in order to unlock the pc.
thanks

no its not a server, the operating system is windows 7 ultimate x64
I just checked it again. same problem... only thing that gets it working again is to restart the service or restart the pc however this is not good because then I always need a second remote access tool installed.. so at this point I might as well just use the one that works.
thanks
