Yes, press a key on laptop resolving "forever" map screen. I check host version - 7.0.0.2 .
It's not a critical issue, but I prefer to have it fixed.

Hello RU team,
I have the laptop configured to use external display(hdmi) only and turn off internal one.
Windows setting Multiple Displays set as "Show only on 2"
Laptop display turning off during windows 10 boot. External display stay with Power Off all the time.
After I power on this laptop I am waited a few minutes for boot and trying to establish full control connection by RU. (External display stay with Power Off, internal display is off also)
Inside the viewer connection icon become green and new screen with earth map appear. And that's it.
This map screen may stay on forever. To get connected I have to close map screen and re-initiate full control connection in the viewer again.
It's happened before with 7.0.0.1 and nothing changed in 7.0.0.2
Configuration:
Viewer 7.0.0.2 on Windows 7 64bit, Host 7.0.0.2 on Windows 10.
Connection type - Direct connection with static IP,
Single password security,
Default port,
Auto Ping - ON (same with auto ping OFF)
On the viewer side log:

If you are concern about speed - you will not get real advantage compare RDP to RU. RDP will log off current user session and because of it you free to set screen resolution as you want. It's may be advantage or disadvantage. Copy/Paste File operations is easy with RDP. RU instead use separate session for file transfer.
Didn't see any real reason to pay for upgrade. Up to you.

I confirm, have same behavior too. RU version 7.0.0.1 host and viewer, Win 10 at host side, Win 7 64bit at viewer side.

I am sure, run exe with elevated privileges automatically is not a RU area of support.
But as usual exists some workaround. Topic starter can take a look on:

It's may help.

I have the same problem - laptop connected over VPN to work network not available to connect by local IP address. It's not a RU bug, it's VPN client proper behavior.
Workaround : Just use Internet-ID connection instead of Direct connection

After I turn on logging on router side, I found out it's external call from unknown IP to destination host ip/port.
Thank you for clarification again. Will monitor such calls and block by IPs.
