[Resolved] Connecting via mac address
Hello,
Thank you for your message.
You can access Host directly via IP address or its hostname (i.e. DNS name).
Alternatively, an even easier way to access remote Host is via Internet-ID connection. Remote Utilities also has an implemented mechanism that detects a direct route and, if available, automatically uses it even if you're connecting using Internet-ID connection.
Hope that helps.

[Resolved] Sound Capture Issues
Hello Jesus,
Thank you for your message.
Do you mean that you can only hear playback of the sounds from the remote Host machine and you would like to be able to hear playback from Viewer computer on the Host side as well? If this is the case, unfortunately, it's not how the Sound Capture feature works.
If you'd like to hear sounds from Host on your Viewer machine and vice versa, you can try using the Voice Chat connection mode - this way both Viewer and Host should be able to hear each other, but please note that this connection mode is mainly meant for voice calls.
If you mean something else, please let us know.
Hope that helps.

[Resolved] some applications are unusable (blank from remote)
Hello Tony,
Unfortunately, in this case we won't be able to assist you with this issue since third-party software related issues are beyond the scope of our technical support. We suggest that you contact the FlippingBook Publisher support team and let them know about the issue - perhaps, they already have a workaround for that or they might fix it in their next update. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Let us know if you have other questions.

[Resolved] some applications are unusable (blank from remote)
Hello Tony,
In case if you only notice this behavior with one specific software, it might be the software-related issue. Are you able to test this out by connecting to any other Host computer and see if the same issue with the Flippingbook Publisher software occurs as well or if it's persistent to only one Host machine?
Looking forward to your reply.

Hello Tony,
Thank you for your message.
Please try enabling the Use legacy capture mode feature in the Host Settings -> Other tab and see if this helps to resolve the issue. After enabling the feature please make sure to restart your Host to apply changes.
If this doesn’t help, please also try enabling the Capture alpha-blending windows feature following this guide.
Hope that helps.

Beta testing: Remote Utilities for macOS/Linux
Windows 11 host wont load
Hello Fausto,
In case if you still have Host installed on your machine and keep getting the same error when launching it, could you please send us the screenshot of the error message? Also, please try adding Host installation folder to the exception list of whatever antivirus software you have installed on the computer (even if it's just standard Windows Defender), you can follow this guide to do so.
Looking forward to your reply.
