Hi
I'm running Linux Mint 20.3 and was using the Viewer 1.0.11.q beta 11 perfectly well.
Since upgrading to the newer Version 1.0.12.q Beta 12 it will not run at all. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing to no avail.
Is there a link for the previous version please so i can get it working again?

thanks
James

Edit: Please see the message i got when i ran r-viewer from terminal

same thing happened to me just now, same error message

thanks
Emiliano

Hello everyone,

I apologize for the delay on this.

This is to inform you that we've uploaded an updated  version 1.0.8.q Beta 8  of Viewer for Linux. Indeed, the Mac version was uploaded a little earlier.
Please note that on the Download page for Viewer for Linux you can now download two versions:  .deb package  that is suitable for Ubuntu, Debian, Mint and other similar Linux builds and the general  .gz binary installation package  that is suitable for any Linux builds.
This version's free period is extended till June 1, 2021.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

It's great to have .deb and .rpm packages!!!
Chapeau!

Hello Emiliano,

Thank you for your message.

Vasilis has noted correctly in the message above - unfortunately, File Transfer connection mode is yet to be implemented in Viewer for Mac/Linux. You can see the full list of features available in Viewer for Mac/Linux as well as the features that are going to be implemented in subsequent updates here, in the very first message.

In case if you mean something else, please let us know.

Hope that helps.

Yes, I made a mistake, i have been using RemoteUtilities with Windows and i forgot about the differences when i changed to Linux.
Tank you so much for replying.

Hi, i'm new on this forum, i'm having an issue with the latest beta for linux v1.0.6.b6, i am not able to transfer files remotely (perhaps i just can't find the option), i don't know if there is anyone with the same problem.
I was able to use the previous beta to transfer to and from without any problems

To my knowledge, the Linux native client does not offer file transfer between the viewer and host. Are you sure about this?

I'm terribly sorry, i've just realized that i have been using it on Windows all this time, this is my first experience with the Beta version on Linux, sorry.
Thank you so much for replying.
