Hello Brad,
I had the same issue. No chance to uninstall and to find the msi file.
Please execute the little MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Unistall.meta.diagcab file.
Then select the Remote Utilities program you like to uninstall.
I'm pretty sure this will fix your problem.

Hello,
I'm using viewer 7.1.2.0 on Win10 and host 7.0.0.3 on Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard.
This configuration is working very well and stable so far.
If I try to update the host from the viewer using simple update, nothing happens.
Even if I'm using a own RU-Server or try to install host 7.1.2.0 locally on the physical machine itself.
Only "Settings for host" starts with host 7.1.2.0 on the server 2012.
As soon as I reinstall host 7.0.0.3 on the server 2012, everything works fine an the host 7.0.0.3 starts.
Thank You,
Werner

Hello Conrad,
Thank you so much for your assistance, very helpful information and support.
The MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta.diagcab as you recommanded was uninstalling the previous version of the viewer.
After that I was able to successfully install the latest version of the Remote Utilities Viewer. (Version 7.1.1.0).
Problem solved in minutes with the little Microsoft Diagcab file. Great.
Now I'm going to buy a Remote Utilities license even if I currently use less the 10 hosts.
Best Regards,
Werner

Hello Colin,
Thank you for reply.
Now set Kaspersky to skip all remote administration software. To late.
I started with Remote Utilities Viewer and Host version 6.10 last year.
Everything works fine till Remote Utilities version 7.0.0.3 of viewer and host.
After update to version 7.1.1.0 host and viewer are no longer working.
Removal tool for Remote Utilities would be helpful.

Hello Conrad,
Thank you very much for your reply.
I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security and I always get warning messages like "Not a virus but..."
Unfortunately Kaspersky deleted the very important file "viewer_70001.msi" in AppData\Roaming.
Without this file the Viewer 7.0.0.3 can't be uninstalled or updated to version 7.1.1.0
Best Regards
Hi Colin,
I'm using Microsoft Edge to successfully download any Remote Utilities software.
My problem is that Kaspersky erased file "viewer_70001.msi" in AppData.
No way to uninstall or update previous version 7.0.0.3 of the Viewer without file "viewer_70001.msi".

I was using installed Viewer 7.0.0.3 Free on a Win10 Computer.
Unfortunately If I try to update to Viewer 7.1.1.0, the file "viewer_70001.msi" is missing in C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Remote Utilities...
Probably finally deleted by antivirus software. Is it possible to download the file "viewer_70001.msi" one more time?
If this issue can be resolved, I will buy Remote Utilities software immediately.
Thank You.
