The mentioned customization settings refer to the Agent's package customization options within the MSI Configurator Tool which includes the company's logo, title and text (and their colors) displayed in the Agent's window.What "Customization" feature means in paid versions?
Unfortunately, we do not provide any features that allow customizing the tray icon and its info since the tray icon is a part of the program branding and it's associated with the program that runs behind it. Therefore the tray icon must be immediately recognizable due to security reasons.Can I change the icon and infos of tray icon?

Viewer corrupt / fails to open
Please note that the changes made in the Default Connection Properties window will be applied to the newly created connections only, i.e. to all Hosts that you add to your address book after making the changes in the Default Connection Properties window. This means that the settings in the "Default Connection Properties" window will not affect already existing Hosts in the address book.
In order to change the View mode for the already existing Host, please change it on the Mode tab in the regular Connection Properties window which can be invoked by right-clicking the Host in the address book and selecting Properties.

Free license: Notification near the system tray and other changes

The email addresses associated with the free license keys for version 6 of Remote Utilities are not restricted by our Free license key generator and should receive new license keys for version 7 as usual.
Could you please try restoring your license key using this Recover Lost Key form? This form will automatically generate and send you an email containing all the license keys associated with your email address.
In case if the above solution doesn't help, please send us an email to support@remoteutilities.com, so that we could look up your email address in our database.

This notification banner is persistent and is intended to increase the transparency when using our software as well as the remote user's awareness that someone has connected to their computer. The notification banner is displayed when any Viewer registered with a free license key or running in a trial mode connects to a remote Host via the Internet-ID connection method.Will it suddenly change if some "bad guy" connects? Maybe I'm not understanding the way it works? All I know is it's ALWAYS there and never changes.
Actually, we have acknowledged all the feedback provided by all our users and currently we plan to improve the notification banner to make it more user-friendly. Namely, we will add an option to choose the preferred corner to display the notification banner as well as the option to hide the banner on the Viewer's side while connected in the remote session. Hopefully, both of these changes will be available in one of our next updates, but, unfortunately, there's no specific ETA on these features yet. For more information please see this page.Many, many users have complained about not being able to read through the message and you still do not acknowledge the fact. Indeed, you contradict them all. It's kind of insulting.

Could you please try setting you View mode to Stretch mode and see if this helps to resolve the issue? This can be done in the Connection Properties window -> Mode tab - this should save your settings for a specific remote Host and apply them when you connect to this Host next time.I've tried changing the view mode, but none of the options worked.
I tried checking and unchecking "constrain proportions" and that didn't work either.

Yes, the Remote Camera feature was discontinued starting the release of version 6.9 of Remote Utilities in 2018. Sorry if this makes our software less useful for you.

Yes, the notification banner is not shown when connecting to remote Hosts via Viewer registered with any commercial license (i.e. Starter, Mini, Endpoint or Pro).If I upgrade or buy the Pro version, this message will disappear forever from my hosts?
No, the notification banner will not be displayed at all. However, you can always enable this notification banner in the Host Settings -> on the Interface tab.In this case, using the Viewer, Can I click on the message using the Full control feature or the person who is the host clicks, only once and the message will not appear anymore?
