Hello Jim,
Thank you for your message.
Unfortunately, there's no specific ETA on this release for now. However, we will do our best to release the first public beta of Host for Mac/Linux as soon as possible. Sorry that it took longer than expected.
Let us know if you have other questions.

Hello Allan,
I locked the previous thread in order to keep it civil and to the point. I understand your frustration with the delay and have apologized in the previous thread for that once again, but please understand that this is a technical support forum and I'm just a support representative and not one of the developers, so I'm not able to affect or somehow speed up the release of Host for Mac. I simply delegate the information provided to me by our development department and since they say that there's no ETA for the release, that's the information I'm able to provide to our users. This question is brought up repeatedly and we respond to every single question about the release date, but we have to keep the conversation on our forum civil, so the forum is efficient and helpful to all users who might face technical issues with our software.
Please also note that I've renamed this thread since duplicated threads are not allowed on our forum.
Thank you.

Hello John,
Thank you for your message.
Unfortunately, we can't guarantee or confirm if Host/Agent for Mac/Linux will be released within the next month. Please note that we've always tried our best to be transparent on what we're hoping to deliver and whether we can provide any ETA for it.
If you own a commercial Remote Utilities license, then it's a one-time purchase of a perpetual license (which works forever, even when we release a major update), and not a subscription-based plan. In addition, our Viewer for Mac/Linux client didn't require a license key for almost two years and even with current licensing, you can always use free license with our software if it meets your needs.
Regarding the release of Host/Agent for Mac/Linux itself - unfortunately, our developers couldn't confirm any approximate ETA. We're sorry to keep everyone waiting, but as we already mentioned the delays with the release were mainly caused by decision to use more advanced framework, which has made the development process longer, but will ultimately make the product better and more reliable in the long run.
Hope that helps.

Hello Martin,
Thank you for your message.
Please note that this notification banner is persistent and cannot be hidden or disabled. However, the banner is only displayed when you connect to a remote Host (or someone connects to your Host) using Viewer registered with a free license key or in trial mode and use Internet-ID connection. Unfortunately we had to implement this banner as an additional security measure against malicious use of the software.
Currently the message can only be removed when connecting to a remote Host via Direct connection or fr om a Viewer registered with any commercial license (including Starter, Mini, Endpoint and Pro licenses).
However, we plan to implement an improvement that will allow users to hide this notification banner on the Viewer's side (i.e. it will still be visible on the Host side, just not in the remote session window). In addition, it will be possible to change the corner wh ere the notification banner is displayed - these features will be available in one of our future updates.
Let us know if you have other questions.

Hello,
Thank you for your message.
For now we provide RU Server (as well as Host) only for Windows-based systems. We do have plans to release RU Server for Linux in our future updates, but unfortunately, we can't provide any ETA on its release for now.
Let us know if you have more questions.

Hello Dennis,
Thank you for your message.
Please try enabling the Use legacy capture mode feature in the Host Settings -> Other tab. Make sure to restart Host after enabling the feature.
In addition please double-check that your Host, Viewer app and Android OS are all updated to the most recent versions available which are 7.1.7.0 for Host, 12.4.1 for Viewer app and Android 13 for your device's OS respectively.
Hope that helps.

Hello Yoel,
Thank you for your patience.
I've checked with our developers regarding the RDP feature for Mac and, unfortunately, we won't be able to implement it in our upcoming updates for now. Sorry if this makes our software less useful for you.
Let us know if you have more questions.

Hello Yoel,
I've forwarded your question to our developers to ask them if they can provide any feedback on RDP for Mac. I'll get back to you as soon as I get an update from them.
Thank you.

Hello Yoel,
Thank you for your message.
Unfortunately, we're still investigating into this feature and whether we'll be able to implement it at some point in our future updates for Mac/Linux. Please note that RDP is a Microsoft-native solution and Remote Utilities has no control over how exactly it functions - the RDP connection mode that you can see in Viewer simply runs Microsoft's own RDP client, nothing more. For now you can see the list of features that definitely will be implemented in the upcoming updates in the very first message of this thread.
Please let us know if you have more questions.
