hello and thanks,
i have users that do not have the administrator passwords for the windows computer.
and i need to install the host.
can i do this?
1. have user run the agent, not requiring to enter the administrator password.
2. once i am in, install the host, which would require the the administrator password.
thanks,
david

normally, i never enable 'remember me' but on this forum it seems to be working.
but that is not important.
more importantly, i posted to the forum and opened a ticket about RU modifying the .rdp before connection.
please, can you help me with that post and ticket but for so far no repsonse?
thanks

hello,
i am still getting logged out.
at first, i thought that perhaps my firefox ad blockers might be causing a problem but i am always logged into 8+ websites 24x7. some sites do auto-log out users after a period of inactivity.
so i disabled all blockers for your website and i still get auto-logged out.
then i tried microsoft edge, which has no blockers or addons, and i am still getting auto-logged out.
thanks

hello, i am a long time free user and just today i decided to become a paid customer.
as an aside, the rdp over internet is the main reason i purchased the your software., great feature.
my feature request is to have a link that always points to the latest host and agents.
so that i can email the link to a customer or quickly speak to them on the phone.
as of now, i have to tell the customer to goto your website, click download, click windows, click download host and get a lame dropdownbox, and tell customer which of the three links to select.
if i want to email customer a link, it would look like
https://www.remoteutilities.com/download/host6.10.exe
you need to add a link such as WITHOUT the version for the lastet version and a SHORT url such as
rut.com/host
and
rut.com/agent
thanks,
david

hello and thanks for the good software.
my problem is that each time i connect via rdp, the RU viewer modifies the .rdp file.
for example, i want to have this to the .rdp file
smart sizing:i:1
so i manually add it to the .rdp
but when i connect again, the viewer deletes that from the .rdp
please advise?
thanks much,
david

hello and thanks for reading this,
rdp over remote.utilities is a killer feature. from what I can see it uses ssh tunneling or stunnel.
for security reasons, I always change the default rdp port from 3389 to something, as per this registry entry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\WinStations\RDP-Tcp\PortNumber.
I guess the remote.utilities does not check for the correct port number.
so is there a way to get remote.utilities to use a custom port number?
also, how can I customize the rdp settings, such as screen size, full screen, smart scaling, etc.
is there a way to use a .rdp file
thanks much,
david
