How to change AGENT server to private
Yes, of course. I'll be happy to provide assistance.
Thanks.
Version 6.5 BETA
Unfortunately, not. Agent is a "stripped" version of the Host, it doesn't have sufficient privileges for such system-wide operations.does this command actually work with just agent installed on the remote pc ?
I wonder why? You can do the same with the Host and more. And if you want to add the "attended aspect" to the Host, you can simply enable the Ask User Permission feature.ideally I did not want host just the agent installed ?
Although there'll be no branded window, of course. In one of the upcoming updates we want to create a branded window for the Host too which one will be able to optionally enable. In fact there's going to be a single UI for both Agent and Host and the ability to "convert" Agent to Host.

How to change AGENT server to private
This is a temporary msi file.Click finish, it asks to save a file (host6.5b2en_mod.msi), whats this for?
Could you elaborate on what specifically did you change?Settings for hosts appears..., we change a few things, it tells us it needs to restart????
It looks like you have the Host installed on that PC also. The Agent and Host are supposed to work differently and it's either the Agent or the Host that you should use. It is not recommended to install the Host on the PC where you are going to run the Agent. We close viewer and exit the icon, then run the (now saved) agent.exe which has NONE of what we just typed in it including the logo, so anything we just did does not get pushed in to this AGENT.EXE file.
I recommend that you completely delete the Host installation and then try to run the Agent. To delete the Host first uninstall it and then delete this registry entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Usoris\ .
Also, could you please send your agent file to support@remote-utilities.com for examination. If you don't want to or cannot submit the file through email you can send it via a new ticket (attach).
Thanks.
Remote installation Error 24: #32
Thank you for your message.
It is absolutely recommended that you try either the latest stable version or better still - the new beta https://www.remoteutilities.com/download/beta.php .
Unfortunately, we cannot say exactly what might cause this error, looks like a software conflict of some sort.
Version 6.5 BETA
During an upgrade the Viewer keeps its files in the %APP DATA% folder intact, so indeed perhaps there was a conflict. We need to check it out and so some additional testing because in our tests we didn't find anything special about upgrade vs. clean install. Thank you anyway for bringing this to our attention.I finally got the logo sorted it appears that somehow if older viewers had been previously installed somehow when I upgraded to the new beta it seemed to have interfered with this process somehow ?
Did you try a specific keyboard short cut? Also, did you try the actual Ctrl Alt Del command icon on the Full Control toolbar? This is the primary way to send this command to a remote PC.control mode but no shortcut key functions seem to operate not sure what I am doing wrong here as instructions seem pretty straight forward ? could it be my customized agent / access rights perhaps ? have seen the post on domain issue fix but that is not the case here.
Version 6.5 BETA
Thank you for your message.
I've just tried to build a custom agent on a clean Windows 10 machine with beta 2 installed, and the logo worked:tried to use the msi configurator in the new viewer beta and I seem unable to make my logo stick ?
when it creates the new agent exe my logo is missing ?
have been able to do this with the final edition no problem.
Please, make sure that you specify the beta 2Host in the Step 1 of the MSI Configurator, not the stable 6.3.x.x. Host. If you still have the issue, please send us your graphic file to support@remote-utilities.com for examination.
This is expected behavior. Agent cannot override UAC, unless it is run as an administrator. Only the Host can. Here is a related KB article https://www.remoteutilities.com/support/kb/cannot-override-uac-on-the-remote-pc/.Also try as I may not been successful with using the run after reboot either ?
it works but always get the UAC prompt ( meaning it requires a manual acceptance as the agent runs) no matter what i have tried with security settings / permissions etc.
Let me know if I can provide more assistance. Thanks.

Thank you for your post. I will keep this thread and delete other duplicates then.
As for your question, you need to specify your custom server address and port in the last step of the configuration process where you are presented with the Host settings dialog. For that dialog to appear in the step 4 you must select "Pre-configure host settings":The ultimate goal will be to create a new AGENT.EXE thats branded and points to our private server.
Then in the Host settings dialog click Settings for Host -> Internet ID connection settings -> Advanced -> Select ID server. There'll be a window where you can enter your server's address:
Then close all the dialogs and the configuration process will finish.
Make sure that if you use the beta version, you use it for all modules. For example, when configuring your agent file feed the beta Host installer to the MSI Configurator, not the stable Host version file. If the errors persist, let us know the error text.when i tested this i had access violations all over the place (but the server and host / agent) are all on 1 PC for testing.
Thank you.

While we cannot reproduce the bug we still note down your report in our bug tracking. We'll be updating the mobile version soon - there's going to be a significant revamp of it - so any feedback is helpful.
Thank you.

Sorry, there's another question - on the remote PC did you install the current stable Host (6.3.0.6) or the latest beta?
