6.0 Arrow Keys not working
Thank you very much! Now we have some information to start with and will see what might be causing this issue. :)
Agent with UN-checked IPv6 by default
That explains it. IPv6 doesn't work with our hosted service as of yet.john kumpf wrote:
It was with your hosted service, the default. I dont have my own RU server running. And i have not tried this again since i posted so i dont have any more data on it. But thanks for looking into it.
6.0 Arrow Keys not working
I'd like to ask you to update to version 6.1.0.3 that we released couple of days ago. And let me know if the issue with arrow keys still persists.
Also, I need information about the keyboard. And (from Jeff) information about the OS on the Viewer and Host PCs.
Thank you!
Agent with UN-checked IPv6 by default
Just wanted to clarify this issue with ipV6. When you enable it and cannot connect - is it through our hosted service or your self-hosted RU Server?
Thanks!
version 6.1.0.3
Glad to hear the issues are resolved :) Don't hesitate to send us a message or write here on the forum if you have any issues in the future.
Thanks!
RUT Unusable completely now
We'll be testing the arrow keys issue and try to reproduce it. Perhaps we'll ask additional clarifying questions along the way.
Remote Utilities - keeps saying Connection Interupted on 2008 Server From Different Locations
Update 6.1 is available. Please, update to the new version and then see if the issue persists.

Also, I recommend you restart your remote PC/PCs after Host installation.

Thank you for your message.
If you mean the "Access denied" bug, you didn't need to start/stop Host for that. You could jus log off / log back on (in Remote Utilities).1) Not able to stay connected, constantly having to stop and start host (using [censored] !?!?).
Anyway, yesterday we released version 6.1 that fixed that bug altogether. You can download it here https://www.remoteutilities.com/download/
Try the new version.2) Still unable to use the arrow keys.
This is the bug from p.1.3) Stupid problem with security mode not supported when trying to connect to remote host
Just install the latest 6.1 and see if it works for you. Make sure that you upgrade both parts - Viewer and Host.4) and now, can't install 5.6 (which worked!) because of an error during install about "Unable to Read TROMServerOptions" which I found on the forums but never saw a fix for it.
If you have any issues, please let us know.

Thank you for your message.
That probably has something to do with the security policies/settings on the server in question. I will hand this issue over to our 2nd tier support and get back to you with their answer.
Meanwhile, could you please send Host log files to support@remote-utilities.com . You can find the log files in C:\Program Files\Remote Utilities - Host\Log. Just zip the files and send them over to us.
Thanks.
License Question
The rule of thumb is - in your Viewer you can have as many connection records (entries in the address book) as your license permits regardless of whether it's portable or installable Viewer. In case of the free license it's 10 records. So if I use the portable viewer and the "agent" for spontaneous remote support sessions it will count against the 10 key license...
Take a look at this picture https://www.remoteutilities.com/images/help/ab-components.png . It explains what a connection record is. Normally, each address book record corresponds to one remote PC, although you can also create multiple records for the same remote PC.
Not exactly. I think I need to give you an example:In other words I have only 10 sessions available to me to make spontaneous remote support connection with the 10 key license ...
Suppose you have a physical address book with names and phone numbers of different people. You can call these people and chat with them at any time without any limitations.
However, your address book can only hold 10 records. In order to add one more record to that address book you need to remove one of the existing records to make available space.
It doesn't really matter whether you spontaneously call those people (think "Agent") or call them on a regular basis (think "Host"). Also, it doesn't matter whether you call them all at once or one at a time - the only thing that matters is how many records your address book can hold. If you no longer contact a certain person, you can remove their record and add a new one instead.
Hope that helps. :)
