Link to older versions

Hello Victorio,

We have been moving to a new website hosting provider and it seems like your last message to this thread was posted right during the migration. So I'm quoting it below:

I installed the latest version of the Graphics Card driver (Intel 82945G) and MSXML 4.0. Unfortunately, it has the same problems than before. I tested 5.3 and 5.1 versions.

It is important to note that these machines are industrial HMIs (Human Machine Interface), with TouchScreens from Elo company.

I tried to use a freeware VNC and it is working*.

Is there an error log somewhere that can give me more info?

Answering your question - currently we don't have any more ideas on what could possibly help you with this issue. Nonetheless, I've requested our developers to see if it's still possible to find a workaround. I'll get back to you soon.

Hello Victorio

Please, do the following on your Win2K machines:

1. Uninstall the Host.
2. Open Windows registry, locate the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Remote Utilities" and wipe/delete it.
3. Install the Host again, preferably the oldest version available in the sticky.
4. Reboot the machine.

Hope that helps.

RU 5.7

Hello Marv,

Actually we decided to make it the next release (version 6.0). It's almost ready and will be available very soon first in beta, and then the final release.

Thanks.

Drag and drop not visible

Hello Sherman,

That's correct. To see the remote cursor taking different shapes you need first to enable that in the connection properties, because they are not displayed by default.

Rebooting - Saves Current Creds'

Hi Nic,

We'll re-consider this issue and see if it's possible to be implemented without any potential threats to security.

Thank you.

GMS for NAS

Hello Michael,

We will certainly explore this possibility. Thanks for the suggestion!

Disconnect from Viewer side

Thank you Alice. We'll think about adding that to the manual.

Disconnect from Viewer side

Hello Alice,

Thank you for your message.

The log on/log off feature acts like the stand-by mode on a TV set. That is, you can "log on" to the remote PC meaning that you keep the connection alive while not using any specific connection mode.

When you are in the Full Control mode (or any other mode for that matter), by clicking on the X button in the mode window, you close that specific connection mode. But you are still being "logged on" to the remote computer. In order to disconnect completely, just click "Log off" either on the Viewer toolbar or in the context menu of the target remote connection in your address book.

You can also use the Log Off command right away in which case all open connection modes will automatically close.

Hope that helps. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
