How can you remotely query to find out...

1. By being physically present at the Host machine and looking into the Host settings
2. By using "Generate ID and send via email.." option during MSI configuration. When the Host is configured with that option, it will send an email with the ID once it is installed/run.
Hope that helps.
API

That's a very far-looking assumption. Let's wait until we have a web server in the first place :) If by web server you mean a server where the remote PC records/connection records are stored.iampedro wrote:
Would you think about doing this if you had a web server that users could query?
MDM Support

Thanks for your suggestion. Perhaps at some point in time we'll think about this, but not in the near future, that's for sure.
Agent Uses

First off thank you for creating this, and also allowing 10 Free PC's after LMI left many of us hung out to dry.
Hello Mike,
You are welcome :)
my question is the Agent download, lets say my sister in California needs help with her PC and I have her run the agent file, I connect and log in and help her......doe this count against 1 of my 10 PC's?
Yes, Agent counts. In terms of licensing, Agent is no different from the Host. You can register the Agent just like you do with the Host - the license key is written into the same registry key as for the Host.
Or if I delete her out of my viewer does that take her out of my 10 PC's?
According to EULA a free license allows remoting to no more than 10 remote PCs, regardless of whether it's Agent or Host. Strictly speaking, if you plan to use the eleventh PC you must remove the license (which is applied on the remote side)/unregister the Host/Agent from one of the ten PCs, not just delete the record from the Viewer.
Hope that helps.
REQ: Address Book management/functionality

Added to wish list. Meanwhile, please check this tutorial about how to use Dropbox for address book sharingCBA Brother wrote:
A suggestion is to add a box.com, google drive, some type of cloud sync account that you can sync universally.
Manage Operators

Thank you for the suggestion. This could be possible only if/when address book sync and web account are implemented. We will add this suggestion to our wish list.CBA Brother wrote:
Please provide some way to manage operators in the future were we can see who is connected to what computer and how many operators are currently using channels.
How can you remotely query to find out...

I've moved the message to a new topic.
In order to check the availability of Host on machines in a local network, use the Scan for RUT-hosts command.
Mobile viewer doesn't work

Same for me too Adnroid ver 2.3.3 and open and black screen and go off few second after !
Let's wait till we update the mobile version with logging so that we could diagnose such issues.Meanwhile, please also check your device against the system requirements (information block on the right) and specifically if the device supports NEON.
can't get past: Manual Log-on "Locked"

Mind you I only tried ticking various buttons yesterday because neither host were working. I only changed settings in one of them though, which is lucky as the other one suddenly works fine today. So I presume there was a problem yesterday that magically fixed itself overnight [restarts of all machines and networks maybe?].
Yes, sometimes users accidentally enable or disable an option that affects remote connection and can even block it altogether.
In any case I am now happy
So are we :)
can't get past: Manual Log-on "Locked"

Another logmein refugee here Starting with 3 hosts, but will be building to over 10 eventually.
So glad logmein pushed me away, as Remote Utilities has so many more features I wanted.
Welcome to our refugee camp. Everyone gets a blanket and a bowl of hot soup. For free. :)
he connection only goes as far as Manual Log-on 'locked'. I presume this is because the host has windows accounts on it, but I don't understand how to enter any info that gets around that.
Locked sign here means that the remote computer is visible (say, you can ping it's IP address), but you are not logged on. By being "logged on" I mean logged on using the LogOn feature in Remote Utilities, not Windows logon.
As I could not connect via the various connection modes, I played around with RDP settings in the configure screen
RDP has nothing to do with Remote Utilities per se. It's just that we support RDP connection by launching a default client when the user wants to connect via RDP. Also, a feature called "RDP-over-ID" is also possible, when you connect using RDP via an "Internet ID tunnel" created by Remote Utilities.
