Everyone who experienced "Host not found" issue, please update the app from the Play store. It should work now.
Make sure the app's main screen reads version v5.6.0.4m10.0 (or higher) at the top right corner.
Also, if you still experience difficulty connecting to the Host by an IP address, make sure you explicitly allow the Host in your desktop firewall settings.

Just added a sticky thread "System requirements for Android". Please, check your device against the requirements. Thanks.

Michael,
What is the type of connection: Direct or Internet ID? Can you connect successfully with the same type of connection to the same PC using the desktop Viewer?

I've tried to reproduce the issue here on our premises. Here's the configuration:
Desktop computer with Windows 8.1 installed, including recent updates.
Motherboard: Asus P5QSEPlus with "Power on by PCI devices" enabled in Bios Settings.
Network card: integrated, with "Shut down WoL", "Wake on magic packet" and "Allow this device to wake the computer" enabled in the properties.
There is a wired connection to another computer via a router. Both computers are on the same subnet. Wake on LAN goes without a hitch, even from the shut down state. Once the computer is woken up, Remote Utilities can be established right away.
Please, check if Remote Utilities service starts after waking up and if anything prevents the service from operating. Maybe some security settings, permissions or antivirus software activity.

Hi Michael,
A more specific question - is that issue with Windows 8.1 only? Can you wake up and connect to other editions (e.g. 7, Vista, XP)?

Michael,
Does it wake to a fully operational state (i.e. the discs are working and the monitor lights up)?
Also, can the IP address change after wake-up? For example, if the DHCP server is used in the network and the PCs receive IP addresses dynamically.

You mean, via Remote Utilities connection? You can. However, you might need to reboot the computer in order for the Host to restart and apply the settings. Try to test it without rebooting first.Michael Peer wrote:

Hello Michael
It's "either..or". Unfortunately, there's no failover mechanism to automatically switch to a default server when the GMS is down. This would add more complexity as it seems at first.
I recommend using the default server if there is a slightest possibility that the GMS PC is unavailable. We constantly monitor our mediation servers and they are located in industrial grade data centers. If they are down (which is very rare and mostly due to maintenance for a very short time) we are notified immediately and can take all measures necessary.

Some news about the futur version of the Host ? 8)
It's coming late December.
Could you please elaborate on that? Do you mean showing the login/user in the notification panel at the bottom right corner of the screen?Another suggestion : for each connection, show the current logged user (login), it will be very usefull !
Thanks.
